Part of the enjoyment of representing businesses in transactions all over the world is the ability it has given me to travel.  Last year alone, I logged over 150,000 airline miles.  With a travel schedule like this, there are a few tricks and tips you develop.  Every now and again, I will post some of my favorite lessons learned from my travels.

The first tip is one of my favorite websites, www.seatguru.com.  As many of you have probably experienced, the seat you get on a plane can make or break your flight.  If I am going to fly on a plane or airline that I am not familiar with, this site is my first stop.

It has layouts and configurations for almost every plane and airline worldwide.  More importantly, it has detailed descriptions of the advantages and disadvantages of each seat in the cabin, where the amenities are and which seats are the most comfortable (including information on restricted seat movement, reduced leg room, etc.).  This is a vital tool to use for any flight before you select or move your seat.  Check it out.
